Phil Hay issues Leeds United striker transfer claims amid recent struggles
There reportedly still is pressure on the Leeds United hierarchy to recruit a quality and long-term number nine in upcoming windows.
According to the Athletic’s Phil Hay on 12 October, clarity is required as to what the club’s plans are in that department and the lack of it is leading to the pressure ahead of the January window.
The Whites are currently in a tricky run of form with no wins in their last five and questions starting to be asked about their capabilities.

Things need to change
Leeds have looked toothless in the last few weeks and the onus is on Jesse Marsch to bring some tactical tweaks to get the best out of his players.
The Whites started the season strongly and everything appeared to be rosy despite the fact that Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha were no longer at the club.
However, now that the dust has settled, Leeds are finding it hard to beat teams and assert any sort of control in games they should be winning.
The Crystal Palace game is a perfect example as they started strongly and took a deserving lead but then allowed the hosts to get back into it.
These patterns need to be stopped at once and there needs to be a cohesive plan behind the scenes for the best course of action.
Patrick Bamford also does not seem completely match fit yet and Leeds could be paying the price for the lack of a quality number nine to lead the line.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
