Phil Hay details what Leeds season ticket holders will likely get for free if season resumes

Leeds United season ticket holders are likely to be able to watch the club’s remaining nine fixtures for free, according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.

Leeds have five home matches and four away matches left of their 2019/20 Championship campaign and those who hold season tickets are wondering what will happen if those matches are played behind closed doors.

There has not been much of an update from the club in regards to this issue and one fan has taken to a Q&A session on The Athletic website to ask Hay whether he knows anything about potential refunds.

The former Yorkshire Evening Post journalist wrote: “[It is] more likely is that you’ll be offered free access to live broadcasts of the games (assuming they’re played at all). But I’m still to get a definitive answer on that, in part because it’s difficult for anyone to answer anything definitively.”

Would Leeds fans be happy about this?

They have still been able to attend 18 matches at Elland Road this season and it is not as though the club can do much about the final games taking place behind closed doors.

It seems like the EFL want every match to be broadcasted if that happens so giving Leeds season ticket holders the chance to watch them for free is the least the club can do.
