The second series of Amazon’s ‘Take Us Home’ followed Leeds United as they secured promotion to the Premier League last season.
It only included two episodes compared to the much-longer first season, although it captured the best moments of the title-winning campaign.
The behind-the-scenes clips of Marcelo Bielsa celebrating with his squad after promotion will stick in the memory forever, although El Loco put all the attention on his players.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay has reported that “tentative talks” have been held over yet another season of the series following the 20/21 campaign.
“Tentative talks have already taken place about a third series of Take Us Home to cover Leeds’ first Premier League season since 2003-04,” he wrote.
With the season already three games in, Leeds could have given early permission for them to follow fixtures with no guarantees that the footage will be used later down the line.
No Amazon crew have been spotted so far at games against Liverpool, Fulham and Sheffield United, and they could have missed the busiest summer in quite some time at Elland Road.
What will have been missed?
As Leeds prepared for the Premier League, they needed to make a number of upgrades to Elland Road and their squad.
It started with Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani flying to Spain to smash the club’s transfer record to sign Rodrigo from Valencia.
After that, came the signings of Robin Koch and Diego Llorente, and possibly a collapsed move for Rodrigo De Paul despite months of talks.
We can’t wait to see if the third season happens, with plenty of memorable moments surely set to happen if the start of this campaign is anything to go by.
