Phil Hay delivers Jack Harrison verdict after poor Leeds United form
Phil Hay believes that Jack Harrison will be frustrated with his lack of good performances for Leeds United recently.
The Englishman started Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Leicester but was taken off by Marcelo Bielsa in the second half.
He failed to impress yet again and it’s been a while since he’s put in a good performance for the Whites.
Discussing the Harrison situation on The Athletic’s Q&A, Hay wrote, “He’s had Covid for one thing which might have knocked him back (although he wasn’t in form before that it should be said).
“But also, Alioski has gone and Harrison hasn’t had a proper chance to establish as reliable an understanding with Firpo down the left.
“Knowing Harrison, he’ll be frustrated by his form. He takes his football very seriously and has always been a model professional at Leeds.”
Needs to rediscover his form
Would it not have been for the numerous injuries at Leeds, Harrison would probably not even be a regular starter.
His displays for the Whites this season have been frustrating, to say the least, and he’s got to improve them.
Harrison’s a hard worker on and off the pitch, and there’s a good chance that he may have hit his ceiling at Leeds United.
At 25, that should not be the case, but he’s not shown any real development over the last six months or so.
Hopefully, he uses this international break to focus on his game and back stronger because Bielsa desperately needs him firing on all cylinders.
Currently, Raphinha is carrying this attack and this cannot continue for long as it could lead to a real burnout eventually.
