Andrea Radrizzani has been very explicit on the future of Leeds United winger Jack Harrison as Newcastle made yet another new bid in the past week, according to Phil Hay.
David Ornstein reported on Monday morning [22 August] that the Magpies had seen another bid turned down as they made their second push for his signature.
Hay admitted that it was still a long way short of the valuation of the Whites, although the attacking star is not for sale at any stage of the summer.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hay shared his response to what he has heard previously regarding the winger and his future at Elland Road
“In David Ornstein’s column today, Leeds United reject another offer from Newcastle for Jack Harrison.
“Still a long way short of Leeds’ valuation and in any case, Radrizzani could hardly have been more explicit about Harrison – not for sale.”
Harrison is quickly becoming the main man at Elland Road.
Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips left over the summer, yet the grass has remained greener in West Yorkshire for those who decided to stick around as Leeds sit joint second in the Premier League.
Newcastle have all of the money in the world, but Harrison is worth more than that with his start to the season making him one of the best in the league.
The winger smashed Chelsea on Sunday afternoon [22 August], scoring one and grabbing another assist, making him the top assisted in the entire Premier League.
Radrizzani could justify selling both Phillips and Raphinha, but there is no way of finding a way to make a positive out of selling anyone else, especially Harrison.
So, this is news that has to be praised, as the owner needs to be concentrating on incomings now, certainly not outgoings before the end of the window.
