Peter Crouch reacts to Bamford ‘winding up’ Wilder in Leeds United celebration
Patrick Bamford seemed to be winding up Chris Wilder as Leeds United confirmed promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites thrashed Stoke City 6-0 at Elland Road in their recent fixture, and Sheffield United’s defeat hours later against Burnley confirmed the top two spots in the Championship.
With two league games still left to go, the West Yorkshire outfit’s supporters have already started celebrating, with Bamford seen singing chants against Wilder with a group of fans.
The English forward arguably knows things went a bit out of hand, and Peter Crouch has given his take on the incident.

Bamford winding up Wilder in chant after Leeds United promotion
Crouch likes the needle between the Whites and Sheffield United after Bamford’s X-rated chant.
The former Tottenham ace doesn’t mind seeing the 31-year-old centre-forward teasing Wilder a bit after beating the Blades to the automatic promotion spot.

With the West Yorkshire outfit in a heated battle against the South Yorkshire club for a top-two spot for the majority of the season, emotions are expected to run high.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast (25 April), the ex-Stoke forward said: “I quite like the needle between Sheffield United and Leeds. I don’t know if you’ve seen Bamford involved in the celebrations. Seemed to be winding up Wilder a touch.”
Daniel Farke set for massive challenge after Premier League promotion
Daniel Farke has been pivotal in securing Premier League promotion at Elland Road, but he’ll surely already be planning for the future.
The German manager has previously taken Norwich City to the English top flight twice, but had an underwhelming record with the Canaries.
While there’ll be a party atmosphere around LS11 for the coming weeks, 49ers Enterprises will need to get to work and strengthen the Whites’ squad quickly.
Farke’s future has already come into question at Leeds, but he’s done enough this season to deserve the hierarchy’s backing.
The German manager shouldn’t have to worry about his job at Elland Road while there are still two games left to play in the current campaign and a title up for grabs.
There’s no doubt Farke’s record in the Premier League isn’t encouraging, it’d be extremely harsh for the 49ers to make a change in the dugout.
Another manager wouldn’t guarantee the West Yorkshire outfit avoiding relegation next season, and the onus is on the owners to get the recruitment right next summer.
