Paul Merson predicts Leeds United to comfortably get the job done against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday.
He believes that this is the first game of the season from which they’re expected to pick up three points.
However, he does not expect that to faze them and thinks that Illan Meslier will manage to keep a clean sheet on the day.
He wrote on Sportskeeda, “This is a big game for Leeds United as this is the first time they are going into a Premier League clash expecting to win. They are the better team and have shown what they are capable of this season, I think they’ll win this game comfortably.
“Prediction: Leeds United 2-0 Nottingham Forest”
Leeds appear to have fallen off after enjoying a good start to the season so it’s time for them to get back to winning ways.
Forest have spent loads and signed over 20 players this summer so the squad is still getting used to each other.
It’s probably a good time to face them as most of the Leeds players are now singing from the same hymn sheet.
Everyone is aware of their responsibilities in this Leeds side and they now need to cut down on individual errors if they are to pick up points consistently.
Jesse Marsch has got his players well-drilled and there no excuses to not win the game against Forest on Monday night.
It will be interesting to see how Steve Cooper sets up his side but it’s certainly going to be an exciting game with two coaches playing an attacking brand of football.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites reached an agreement to sign a left-back, according to his agent.
