Paul Merson predicts result of Leeds United clash v Watford
Paul Merson has predicted the result of Leeds United’s clash against Wolves this weekend, and says defeat could see them dragged back into trouble.
The Whites are unbeaten in their last three, moving them six points ahead of the relegation zone with seven games remaining this season.
But defeat to Watford, who have a game in hand on them, could see Leeds return to into the ‘dogfight’ according to Merson, who predicted a 2-2 draw in his Sportskeeda column.

“Watford have got to win this one to boost their survival hopes and if they do, they could bring Leeds United straight back into the dogfight,” he said.
“I thought they were safe, but looking at the Premier League table, they could be in trouble if they lose this one.
“I think this game will have a lot of goals in it, so I’m going for a 2-2 draw.”
Must not lose
We’re well and truly in the business end of the season and Leeds have managed to find some form at the perfect time.
Their performances have been considerably more structured and they look much better defensively, while going forward they have been able to score goals again.

They’re also welcoming back key players from injury and Jesse Marsch has got plenty of options to choose from, so it’s tough to see how they blow it from this position considering the form of the teams below them.
But Watford will know they need to win if they want to stay up and with the game taking place at Vicarage Road, the Whites will need to be at their very best.
Ultimately a draw is a good result, because as long as they don’t lose they will maintain distance ahead of the chasing pack so it’s more must not lose than it is must-win.
