Paul Merson couldn’t believe eyes at Leeds United win v Norwich City
Paul Merson simply couldn’t believe his eyes at the scenes at Elland Road as Leeds United beat Norwich last time out.
Despite conceding an equaliser in stoppage time, the Whites went up the other end and Joe Gelhardt tapped home a winner as it finished 2-1.
Merson was blown away by the scenes in Jesse Marsch’s first win and admitted it was quite some story in the end.

Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson all but admitted that it was the story of the weekend in the Premier League.
“Woah, what a game,” he said.
“Wolves got a good result against Everton last time out, but Leeds’ dramatic last-minute winner against Norwich City was quite the story as well.”

Woah.
That is the perfect word, and we have only really just calmed down after the unbelievable scenes at Elland Road.
Moments such as Gelhardt’s winner with basically the final kick of the game can change entire seasons, and that is what everyone will be hoping for.
Marsch likely didn’t bring the young striker on quick enough, but his goal justified his decision more than any potential complaint.
It is critical that we don’t rest on our laurels, though, and picking up points tomorrow at Wolves would be amazing before the international break.
Another win would create such a big gap that we haven’t had in so long, and with the likes of Kalvin Phillips back, it is more than possible.
Let’s hope for an easier outing with less stress, but this is Leeds, and we know what comes with supporting this club – bring it on.
