Patrick Bamford to stay at Leeds United as they look for Emmanuel Dennis transfer
Leeds United have added Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis to their list of primary targets, as Patrick Bamford’s struggles continued, according to Nigerian news distributor Punch – who have over six million Twitter followers.
It is claimed that, although Leeds will keep Bamford at the club, his poor injury record and lack of consistency in front of goal has led the South Yorkshire side to look for alternative options.
Bamford missed ten games through injury last season and managed to score just four goals from 28 games, including some glaring misses in the midst of the relegation battle – notably against Leicester City, where he missed the chance to win the game from inside the six-yard box.

Dennis only joined Nottingham Forest last summer, but The Athletic have reported that he is likely to leave the City Ground this summer, having scored just twice in 19 Premier League appearances.
Dennis would tear up the Championship
It has been clear that Bamford cannot be relied upon as the main source of goals for a while now. Since scoring 17 goals behind closed doors in 2020/21, his highest goal total in the league was the four he managed last season, after notching just two the season before.

Despite not having a great season in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest, it should not be forgotten what earned him that £15million move in the first place. The Nigerian scored ten goals in all competitions with Watford in 2021, in a season which saw him as their only bright spark.
Dennis’ pace and knack for finishing could be pivotal for Leeds’ promotion hopes, and he could even be paired up front with Bamford, who suits a two-man pairing where he isn’t relied upon as the main goalscorer.
The Forest forward was a highly regarded option for multiple Premier League clubs prior to his spell in the East Midlands and will be looking to prove his worth once more.
