Patrick Bamford responds to Gary Lineker Twitter message

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has made it clear how much he wants to help save the environment over the past couple of years.

From his lightning bolt celebration in the Premier League to promoting Hylo Athletic shoes, he has to be commended.

The Leeds squad were all spotted thanking Bamford over the weekend, as he gifted them all with a pair of said trainers.

Gary Lineker is another who has joined that bandwagon.

The BBC pundit and former Leicester man is known for voicing his opinion strongly on his personal Twitter account and called for change.

“It won’t, of course, but the world really does need to come together as one to address climate change…and quickly,” he wrote.

Bamford responded to that message and continued to push his own message at one of the biggest problems around the globe.

Lightning Bolt.

It is of course the symbol for change.

Bamford explained that after many started predicting what his celebration could be about in the Premier League last season.

We didn’t expect to see it as much as we did, but the striker pushed himself to hit the same milestones and even better some of the best.

Marcelo Bielsa will be pushing Bamford even more to continue that, and not make it just a one-season glut of goals that some will call lucky further down the line.

It will once again have been a gruelling pre-season after missing out on the England squad at the EUROs, but that will only motivate him even more.

Gareth Southgate may not be able to stop watching the lightning bolt celebration next season, and it could lead to a spot at the World Cup in 2022.
