Patrick Bamford & Luke Ayling in rehabilitation ahead of Leeds v West Ham

Leeds United duo Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford both missed the Carabao Cup clash with Fulham last night.

The Whites duo were left with injuries from the 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Friday evening, and have been struggling since.

It has been now confirmed that both men will be stuck in rehabilitation at Thorp Arch over the next three or four days.

It was brilliant to see the likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood involved last night, although they didn’t start ahead of the likes of Rodrigo.

The Spaniard could be pushed into what seems like his preferred position should Bamford be missing, and that could benefit him.

With his pressing not a strong point of his game, it is unknown whether it would benefit the team to have the former Valencia man further forward.

It is the perfect time for him to stake his claim if this was to keep Bamford out though, and there would be no excuses then.

Crisis?

Leeds are still without a win in the Premier League, and the longer that goes on, the bigger the concern will become.

Bamford and Ayling are irreplaceable in this squad, and it would make us very much underdogs missing both of them.

There aren’t many other options to replace the duo, and if they are missing against the Londoners, we could have a real issue at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa will be racking his head for possible replacements, and it looks as though it will be touch and go with these two.
