Patrick Bamford has shared that Leeds United are likely to wear their new lilac third kit against Newcastle this evening.

The Whites wore their maroon third strip at St James' Park last season, so it looks as though they could do the same with this years' edition.

It has delivered mixed reactions around Elland Road, with the lilac certainly one of the most out-there designs we have seen.

Speaking on the official Leeds United Podcast, Bamford assumed that it will be the first time we see the new kit this evening.

"It's nice - last year we wore what you have on now [maroon strip] away, so I assume we'll wear that one," he said.

Reacting to the news, Emma Jones appeared delighted that we could all get the first taste of the new third kit.

"It's so beautiful," she reacted.

Beautiful.

It appears as though we are going to get our first taste of the kit, with dark colours not on the agenda for away sides at St James' Park.

We have seen the classic white and the new blue kit already this season, and now it is time to see the third strip.

Fans travelling will be up in the heavens in the North East, and it could be a see of lilac cheering the lads on.

Bamford appears to be a big fan, and the likes of Junior Firpo have also shared their delight at the release.

Hopefully, the new kit will bring new fortunes and along with that our first three points of the Premier League season.

It is desperately needed.
