Patrick Bamford is expected to make Leeds United return on October 16
Patrick Bamford is likely to be back in action for Leeds United on October 16, according to a recent report in LeedsLive.
The English striker spoke about his return on September 30 and stated that he was feeling in good shape.
In his assessment, another 10 days is what it will take for him to get back in action, and the LeedsLive report tallies with that, making him available for the Whites’ next game against Southampton post the international break.
This Leeds side has been struggling for goals in the past few weeks and having Bamford back is going to be a vital boost for them.
In his absence, Rodrigo has been leading the line, but the Spain international does not have quite the same impact as the Englishman.
While Rodrigo is decent on his day, he does not offer the same kind of ability and tireless work-rate off the ball which puts the opposition on the back foot.
He also isn’t the type of player who can bully centre-backs in the air like Bamford does.
We’re hoping that he does not have too many injury concerns in the future as his impact over the side is glaringly obvious.
Marcelo Bielsa will also be delighted with his return and is likely to draft him straight back into the starting eleven.
Rodrigo may move back into a deeper midfield position or may be omitted to the bench as a result of it.
