Pascal Struijk wants Leeds United to extend his Elland Road deal
Pascal Struijk has gone on record to admit that he wants to sign a new contract as he is loving life at Leeds United.
The Netherlands youth international moved to Elland Road in 2020 and has become one of the club’s most important players in two seasons.
Given Junior Firpo’s absence, the 23-year-old has been deployed at left-back and has performed exceptionally well for Jesse Marsch’s side.

Speaking to Voetbalzone on 15 October ahead of the Arsenal clash, Struijk said, “At least for now I’m really enjoying myself at Leeds and it would be nice if they were willing to extend my contract. I feel good here and I focus on Leeds.
“Leeds itself is a nice city. If you’ve just come here, it’s different if you’re used to Rotterdam or Amsterdam, because it’s an industrial city, but the longer you stay there, the more you love the city and people.”
Deserves it
Struijk’s current deal runs out in 2024 but we’re sure there will be discussions in the coming months over what the plans are for him in the future.
At 23, he’s still very young and we do not think anyone at the club would want to sell him.
Not only does he perform exceptionally well at left-back, but he is also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder.
Of late, he’s also got a good fitness record and is extremely consistent whenever given the opportunity to prove himself.
It could be argued that he’s one of the most underrated players at Leeds to fans of other clubs as he’s rarely the one who makes headlines.
However, he puts in constant efforts on and off the pitch and delivers the hard yards on match days which is why Marcelo Bielsa and Marsch rate him so highly.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
