Firpo witnessed the comeback against Regis Le Bris’ team as he started the game on Monday.
Wilson Isidor’s first-half strike was cancelled out by Struijk in the 78th minute before his eventual winner in the 95th minute.
The centre-back posted a set of images on Instagram (18 February) after what could be a crucial win in the race to win the Championship.
Firpo commented “My striker” with a fire emoji from his social media handle as Struijk ensured Leeds United retained first place in the league.

Pascal Struijk saves the day at Elland Road
It looked like the Whites were in for a disappointing night as they were unable to create many opportunities against Sunderland for most of the game.
Farke’s substitutions at Elland Road made the difference, and it looks like the German manager is on course to take the Peacocks into the Premier League.
Struijk has been one of the West Yorkshire club’s best players this season, but the defender has hardly featured in recent weeks due to an injury.
Fans want Farke to win the Championship this season, considering the quality of their squad relative to other teams in the league, and any slip-ups can’t be afforded.
The 25-year-old centre-backs return to action in such fashion will encourage the German manager as he will look to cement the Whites’ place at the top with a win over Sheffield United on 24 February.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Premier League teams pushing to sign Struijk next summer, but the Peacocks will evidently improve their chances of keeping him if they are promoted.
There’s still a long way to go in the current campaign, and supporters hope the Dutchman can continue to put in similar clutch performances.
