Pascal Struijk and Archie Gray likely to return for Leeds United v Fulham in Premier League - Injury Expert
Leeds United are set to welcome back Pascal Struijk and Archie Gray for the upcoming Premier League showdown against Fulham on Sunday 23rd October.
The young midfielder has been missing for weeks after stubbing his toe, although the issue with Struijk came up in the 1-0 defeat against Arsenal.
Junior Firpo started and flopped in the Premier League defeat at Leicester City, with Jesse Marsch backing him to still become a big player for the Whites.
Sharing the news on his Premier Injuries website, Dinnery dropped a positive update on the duo with Leo Hjelde also set to return for the following week.
After that, it would just be Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw missing, although the latter should be back available for the start of November before the World Cup begins.
Getting these players back as well as Dallas and Forshaw will be great for the club.
Marsch has had a stronger bench available to him this season, but the decision to ship Dan James out on loan made that weaker, and these injuries haven’t helped.
Struijk had started every single Premier League game this season, so now it is down to Firpo to either make that his own or leave the American with no choice but to change again.
Based on Thursday’s evidence, he cannot be trusted to start as he is simply not reliable, with Struijk cementing that spot based on his performances this season.
Leeds need consistency, not only in their selection, but in results, so picking up more wins is essential as the Premier League starts to shape up before the World Cup.
There is no hiding from the fact that Marsch is now fighting for his job, and that may lead to even more changes against Fulham, but once he reverts to a similar side to the one against Arsenal, he needs to stick to it.
In other Leeds United news, this player could be first in the Elland Road boardroom as new contract talks may take centre stage
