Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe is set to hold two off-the-record meetings with Leeds United supporters, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported on Friday (11 October) that Marathe is set to answer questions from both the Supporters Advisory Board and the Leeds United Supporters Trust ahead of the clash with Sheffield United.

These meetings are expected to give the 49ers chief a better understanding of supporters' current feelings on a variety of matters at Elland Road.

Marathe is expected to be quizzed on the Whites' current partnership with Energy Drink giants Red Bull as well as the 49ers' plans to redevelop Elland Road in the coming years.

Who is Leeds United and 49ers chief Paraag Marathe?

It is good to see the powers at be in and around Elland Road fronting up and facing questions from supporters after what has been a very difficult few months for the Whites following the playoff final defeat.

Several big-name players have departed, including Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter, the Red Bull partnership has been met with plenty of scepticism and the results on the pitch have been far from perfect.

Angus Kinnear stepped up and appeared on the Square Ball podcast to provide some insight into what has happened behind the scenes over the last few months, but it is good to see that he isn't the only one willing to open up.

It is disappointing however that these meetings will be off the record. That will mean only a select few fans will be able to hear what Marathe has to say about some really important issues in and around Elland Road.

Hopefully, in the future, the 49ers chief will answer some questions in a more public format so that all fans can remain informed about developments in and around the football club.
