Paraag Marathe madness to unfold at Leeds with pre-Brentford Daniel Farke sack

Leeds United would surely be out of their minds to sack Daniel Farke after the results against Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Whites beat the Blues 3-1 at home on 3 December before a sensational comeback against Arne Slot’s team at Elland Road capped off what’s been a tough run of fixtures in LS11.

Paraag Marathe seems to have been wanting Farke out for some time now, with speculation rumbling about the German manager’s uncertain position at the West Yorkshire outfit in the summer.

With the Peacocks battling relegation, there has been massive pressure on the 49-year-old head coach, who may still be looking over his shoulder.

Leeds United can’t sack Daniel Farke after Liverpool result

With an eight-day gap between the Liverpool and Brentford games, Leeds may have seen it as the perfect time to sack Farke, Beren Cross says.

The Athletic journalist suggests the new manager would’ve had time to settle in at Elland Road before the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium on 14 December, but it would be “madness” for Marathe to replace the German manager now.

After some encouraging back-to-back performances against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, the former Norwich City boss certainly has earned some grace in LS11.

Cross wrote in The Athletic on 8 December: “The eight days before Brentford may have been considered a generous window for a new face to get their feet under the table in Farke’s office, but it would be madness for chairman Marathe to make a change now.”

Farke may yet be on his way out of Elland Road sooner rather than later, but it would surely be shocking to see it happen anytime soon.

Paraag Marathe may have big reason to sack Daniel Farke

The Elland Road hierarchy are continuing their search for Farke’s replacement despite the recent positive results.

Leeds may yet have a reason to get rid of the German manager as the winter transfer window is about to commence.

Farke’s Premier League record this season

If they don’t trust the former Norwich boss to lead them all the way this season, it would make sense to recruit players for a different manager in January.

Now that it looks like Farke will stay in charge for the foreseeable future, 49ers Enterprises should back him with quality reinforcements in the coming weeks to aid the West Yorkshire outfit’s push for Premier League survival.
