Pablo Hernandez sends Luke Ayling message after Leeds draw v Aston Villa

Pablo Hernandez has delivered a message to Luke Ayling after Leeds United left Aston Villa with a 3-3 draw on Wednesday evening.

The right-back beautifully nutmegged Phillipe Coutinho in the opening 45 minutes at Villa Park to get out of danger in his own box.

Hernandez was blown away by the footage, insisting he taught his former teammate well during his time at the club.

Hernandez sent the message on Instagram after Leeds shared the clip on their official account on Thursday (10 February).

“I taught you well, right,” he said.

Ayling responded in fantastic fashion, insisting he had to learn something from El Mago after his time at Thorp Arch.

“Had to learn something after being megs every day for four years,” he wrote.

Amazing.

Leeds loves Hernandez, and Hernandez clearly still loves Leeds.

We live for these moments when the Spanish magician pops his head up and shows his love for his old teammates.

Hernandez will always be welcome back at Elland Road throughout his lifetime, and it would be great to get him back in front of a packed out crowd.

It was an emotional day when the playmaker played his last game against West Brom on the final match week of the season last year.

Elland Road was not full that day due to COVID-19 rules, and he still deserves that real send-off.

For now, it looks as though he is going to have to settle for an Ayling nutmeg, something that appears to have done the trick.
