Osaze Urhoghide closing in on Celtic move amid links with Leeds – report
Leeds United are expected to miss out on Dutch centre-back Osaze Urhoghide, according to The Daily Record.
Per the report, the free agent whose contract ran out at Sheffield Wednesday this week, is set to become new manager Ange Postecoglou’s first signing at Celtic, with the Scottish side expected to pay £200,000 as training compensation.
The 20-year-old is still being offered a new deal at Hillsborough, but he’s understood to have his heart set on leaving this summer.

Move on
It would’ve been nice to sign a young player to add to our depth and also develop into becoming a first-team regular playing for our U-23s, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Urhoghide is a defender who’s impressed in the Championship and while he may not be quite ready for Premier League level yet, he could’ve come of use to use in the future.

The 20-year-old has been tipped for a bright future and his versatility is one of his most noteworthy aspects. He prefers playing at the heart of the defence but performs exceptionally well at right-back too.
Us missing out on a youngster is far from the end of the world. We’ve got first-team targets that we need moving to Elland Road in the summer as we’re looking to break into the top eight for next season.
With Gjanni Alioski all but set to depart, we’re left with no recognised senior left-back and are looking likely to complete a move for Junior Firpo. [Mundo Deportivo]
Once that is done we must sign another midfielder and possibly a striker/wide attacker to share the goal-scoring load with Patrick Bamford.
Interesting times coming up for the Leeds United faithful this summer.
