Oli McBurnie sends message to Jayden Bogle after what Leeds United star did v QPR

Oli McBurnie has sent a message to former teammate Jayden Bogle after his Leeds United display in a 2-0 win over QPR on Saturday.

The 24-year-old netted his second goal of the 2024/25 Championship campaign, helping Daniel Farke’s side to seal all three points at Elland Road on 9 November.

Bogle has missed just one league match so far this term, having served a one-match suspension against Plymouth Argyle, and has made the right-back spot his own since arriving from Sheffield United in the summer.

Reacting to the player’s Instagram post on Saturday (9 November), McBurnie commented three clapping emojis while Pascal Struijk wrote: “Shin for the win.”

Farke will have loved the reaction he saw from his players after the 1-0 slip-up against Millwall last time out, dropping all three points for the first time in nine matches.

Bogle has had a mixed time at Elland Road since arriving from Bramall Lane in the summer, but he has slowly cemented his spot in the starting XI and now has another goal on his record.

It is a huge positive that Bogle finally looks to have settled into life at Leeds, given that Farke’s right-back choices are rather stark before the January transfer window opens.

The Whites head into the international break with their heads held high, just two points behind league leaders Sunderland after 15 matches, setting the Championship up for another interesting title race.

Of course, Farke’s side had plenty of chances to push ahead in the title race last season, only for Leicester City and Ipswich Town to open up a gap, dropping Leeds into the play-off spots.

After losing out to Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium, fans will be desperate for the side to secure automatic promotion and Leeds are certainly in a good position to do exactly that.
