‘Numpty’, ‘More filth’ – These fans savage Alan Brazil after bizarre Leeds claim

talkSPORT broadcaster Alan Brazil has said that Leeds United could be in trouble if they don’t pick up all three points against Brighton on Saturday.

Brazil made the bizarre claim on the Breakfast show on Friday morning, with Leeds having won three of their last five league games.

Leeds have 26 points after playing just 17 games and realistically need just four more wins from the remaining 21 games to be safe.

Regardless, Brazil said, “Leeds need a result! They were a steam train, now it’s fizzling out.”

Pundit Ray Parlour was slightly better when he said that Leeds needed a result after the shock defeat against Crawley.

There are eight teams below Leeds, including Wolves and Crystal Palace, who have both played a game more.

If anything, what Brazil should be saying is that Leeds have had a fantastic start to the season and are exceeding expectations.

The next two Leeds game are very winnable, with Brighton up first followed by Newcastle.

Leeds have 10 days between the two games with a January fixture schedule that’s much more relaxed than many of their rivals.

So, either Brazil really is a “numpty” as one Leeds fan called him, or he’s fishing for reactions.

These Leeds fans were happy to oblige…
