Nottingham Forest to bid for long-term Leeds United target Lewis O’Brien
Nottingham Forest are “ready to step in with a £10million bid” for long-term Leeds United midfield target, Lewis O’Brein, as per Alan Nixon.
The popular journalist wrote on his Patreon on 3 July that the Whites are currently looking at more “expensive targets” in this window, which suggests they are unlikely to battle Forest for O’Brien.
Norwich City are equally keen but they are unlikely to match the valuation.

Decent price
O’Brien is one of the players who have been heavily chased by Leeds for a long time.
Huddersfield Examiner reported via their print edition on 3 June (back page) that the Terriers wanted £15 million from Leeds last year when they tried to sign him.
It was reported that his value has risen, but Forest surprisingly are looking to get him at a decent bargain price.
At £10m, should Leeds join the race and get him on board? He could be a like-for-like replacement for Kalvin Phillips who is just a step away from joining Manchester City.

Marcelo Bielsa wanted O’Brien last year and he has been linked with a move this year as well.
At the same time, it seems Jesse Marsch probably doesn’t see him as an option at the moment. Nixon reports that the Whites are looking at “expensive” options.
Bolstering the midfield is necessary, and Marsch should be looking to add one or two midfielders to replenish the void left by Phillips.
O’Brien could be available at a bargain price, but Leeds are probably out of the race for his signature.
In other Leeds United news, €400million mean Barcelona have run out of excuses not to pay the club what they ask.
