Nottingham Forest may have new manager for Leeds United clash as Steve Cooper on sack row ahead of Wolves game
Nottingham Forest may reportedly have a replacement lined up for the Leeds United game if they sack Steve Cooper after the Wolves clash.
According to the Telegraph [31 March], Cooper is on sack watch at the City Ground and a failure to beat Wolves on Saturday, could result in him losing his job.
His situation at Forest has been described as “unstable” and it’s been mooted that the club could have a plan of action ready before they travel to Leeds on 4 April.
Cooper needed?
Teams tend to come out with flying colours right after their manager is sacked so it makes sense from a Leeds perspective to not see Cooper sacked at the weekend.
Forest appear to be one of the teams slipping down the table and could soon be at the bottom if things don’t improve.

Cooper does not look like he’s got the right answers and they look to be an easy side to play against, at the moment.
On the other hand, things look like they’re on the rise for Javi Gracia at Leeds and the players seem to be responding well to his tactics.
There is a newfound cohesion in the squad and they’re playing like they know what’s on the line – something that cannot be said about all clubs fighting relegation.
The hope is that both Wolves and Forest draw and drop points at the weekend which will ensure Cooper perhaps being there for the Leeds game.
In other Leeds United news, a teenager now looks closer than ever after what he did at Thorp Arch during the international break with Javi Gracia taking note.
