Nohan Kenneh snubbed Leeds United contract for Hibs move

Nohan Kenneh was reportedly offered a contract at Leeds United before he made his decision to leave the Yorkshire club.

According to Edinburgh Evening News, he turned down that offer from the Whites to join Hibernian due to the guarantee of playing time.

He was highly rated at Thorp Arch, especially by Marcelo Bielsa after impressing in the recently concluded Premier League 2 campaign.

Fair enough

The 19-year-old would have eventually got his break in the senior team, but it seemed like he was growing impatient.

After making the bench 14 times without getting his debut, he certainly would not have been pleased with how things panned out.

At the same time, other youngsters were getting their chance to impress while he was a quiet onlooker from the bench.

Hibs are likely to place him straight into the first team and he could become a regular for the senior team as early as next season.

We will certainly be keeping an eye on his progress as he’s a Thorp Arch product and we always want to see them doing well.

His versatility is a key facet of his game and he could be deployed as a centre-back as well as a central midfielder in Scotland.

It will be interesting to see how things transpire and if one day, he’s touted for an Elland Road return.

In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case which involves the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
