Noel Whelan sends message on Twitter ahead of Leeds v Wolves

Leeds United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League clash on Saturday at Elland Road.

Former Whites player, Noel Whelan, has posted a brilliant message on Twitter today ahead of the game.

He has said that the fans can have a big impact on the game and that there’s no better place to play than at Elland Road.

Leeds are heading into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Southampton last week, but Whelan is hoping that Marcelo Bielsa’s side can pick up all three points today.

The Whites have managed just one win so far in the Premier League, but they can kick-start their campaign with a positive result today.

Another former Leeds player, Andy Couzens, also shared a brilliant message on Twitter. He wrote:

Crucial game

Bielsa suggested in the pre-match press conference that the defeat against the Saints last week was one of the worst during his managerial spell at the club.

Leeds have suffered heavy defeats before under him, but it seldom happens that the Whites get completely outplayed by the opposition.

Wolves are on a roll here. They have picked up three wins in a row ahead of this game, and Leeds will have to play out of their skins to pick up all three points.

The confidence in the side is not sky-high, and on top of that, the Whites are missing the likes of Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips. It won’t be an easy task but the Elland Road factor can play a huge role.

Leeds fans are among the most passionate supporters in the country and they can generate an electrifying atmosphere at Elland Road.

It’s that sort of a game where fans can have a big influence on the team. Leeds find themselves 17th in the league table at the moment, and they must put their best effort today to turn the situation around.
