Noah Okafor was ‘hopping mad’ at Leeds teammate despite win vs Crystal Palace

Leeds United secured a magnificent 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday to take them further clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the hero once again for Leeds, scoring a quick brace to give the Whites a 2-0 half-time lead at Elland Road.

Ethan Ampadu added a third on the hour mark, with Justin Devenny pulling one back for Palace, before Anton Stach curled in a delightful free-kick in the final seconds.

Despite the 4-1 win, there was a bit of tension between Noah Okafor and one other Leeds player during the game.

Noah Okafor fumes at Lucas Perri

The spirits are clearly high around the Leeds squad at the moment, as they extended their unbeaten run to four games against Crystal Palace.

Daniel Farke’s side are now six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone and seem to be going from strength to strength each week.

However, during the win over Palace, Okafor was left fuming at goalkeeper Lucas Perri in an unseen moment.

As per Graham Smyth for the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Leeds forward was “hopping mad” after Perri refused to play him the ball and start a quick counterattack, instead holding onto possession and slowing the game down.

The Whites’ shot-stopper gave Okafor a long stare following the dispute, but ironically threw him the ball just minutes later, so clearly took the 25-year-old’s advice on board.

Leeds continue their superb home form

Elland Road is a real fortress for Leeds in the Premier League, and the intense atmosphere on Saturday evening powered Farke’s side on to another famous result.

Following a 3-1 win against Chelsea and a 3-3 draw with Liverpool, the Whites have now picked up seven points from their last three games at home.

Crystal Palace came into the contest as the team with the best away form in the Premier League, but any threat they posed was completely blocked out by Leeds.

Farke has got his side playing some brilliant football, and with Calvert-Lewin on a sensational goalscoring run, the West Yorkshire outfit have a real chance of avoiding relegation.
