Newcastle United want Leeds United star Jack Harrison as last-ditch Saint-Maximin replacement
Newcastle United remain open to offers for Allan Saint-Maximin and they have lined up Leeds United winger Jack Harrison as an immediate replacement in order to sanction a sale, according to 90min.
The Magpies signed Everton winger Anthony Gordon this month and they have been considering letting Saint-Maximin leave this window.
They want a last-gasp signing if Saint-Maximin sold, and Harrison is on their radar. However, such a quick turnaround is unlikely ahead of Tuesday’s (31 January) deadline.
Unlikely
The deal looks highly unlikely at the moment. Newcastle tried to sign Harrison last summer, but Leeds rejected their moves.
Harrison has been in top form this season under Jesse Marsch, and the Whites will be reluctant to sell him unless they receive a massive bid.

The problem is Leeds won’t be getting a quick-fix replacement at the moment, and they will be short of options in the wing areas if they sell him now.
Leeds could be dragged into the relegation dogfight as well if the results do not work in their favour, and Marsch will not want any of his key players to leave.
This has been a terrific window for the Whites where they have already two players, and have agreed a deal for Weston McKennie who will join from Juventus.
The new signings are expected to lift the team, and help the side get into a comfortable position.
Put simply, Harrison is not for sale unless there’s a massive bid that can’t be refused.
