Newcastle United keeper Karl Darlow may pick Leeds United over Bournemouth as expensive transfer on cards
Alan Nixon claims that it’s possible for Newcastle United keeper Karl Darlow to pick Leeds United over Bournemouth this summer.
The Sun journalist claims [19 July] that it will not be a cheap deal to do as the Magpies may also have to give him some money to leave.
Both clubs are keen on securing the services of the 32-year-old English keeper in this transfer window.

Via Twitter, he wrote, “Find out soon. It’s not impossible but it’s not a cheap deal. Newcastle may have to give the guy money to go so final fee may not be the full picture. One of the reasons so many are ‘undisclosed’.”
Some pull
If Leeds and Daniel Farke can convince Darlow to join over a side in the Premier League then it’s clear that they’ve got some pull.
Of course, he would want certain assurances over his playing time if he does agree to snub a team in the top flight.
In terms of a project, Leeds are starting fresh with new owners and a new manager and could build on a more sustainable platform for the future.

The Cherries, on the other hand, are going to be relegation contenders and do not have the fun to build a squad to stay in the Premier League.
It remains to be seen how this transpires but if Farke is determined that Darlow is his man, the Whites will be paying the money.
Whether or not the keeper fancies a move to the Championship is yet to be decided and hopefully, talks commence soon.
