The new Leeds United third kit for the 2021/22 season has been leaked by website Footy Headlines.

The development comes just days after the same outlet unveiled what Leeds’ home kit could look like.

Footy Headlines have a successful track record when it comes to leaks too, having got the 2020/21 kits spot on.

The Whites went for different and unique colour schemes for this year’s away and third kits, and it seems they are planning to do the same next season with bright purple strip.

Big change

If this turns out to be real it will take some time to get used to it.

Leeds have never had a purple kit in their history and although the design is nice and simple, we are not sure many supporters will want to stick out like a sore thumb while wearing it.

Adidas pulled off two brilliant secondary kits this season – the maroon and gold third kit has become quite memorable.

Raphinha always seems to perform better in it and he has helped us to massive wins while wearing it – including victories against Manchester City and Everton.

We hope this new kit brings similar success even though it is not particularly appealing on the eye.

The Leeds badge does at least look smart and has a nice silver shine to it – similar to the gold badge on our current third kit.

However, we do not care too much about kit colours and designs as long as the team produces on the pitch.

In other Leeds United news, Ian Wright has reacted to the controversial moments in our win over City, giving his verdict on a contentious moment involving Raheem Sterling.
