Neil Warnock shares what he loves about ‘Favourite’ Daniel Farke

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has been singled out for praise by Neil Warnock.

The German head coach has guided his side to the top of the Championship this season and will be confident of securing promotion to the Premier League.

This has been the case despite key players like Crysencio Summerville and Georgino Rutter leaving Elland Road during the summer transfer window.

As a result, the 48-year-old has caught the eye in the second tier despite dealing with various injury concerns in LS11 this campaign.

Neil Warnock loves how Daniel Farke has stuck at it through the ups and downs

The former Norwich City boss hasn’t always been a popular figure in Yorkshire, especially after the late-season blip which saw Leeds end up in the playoffs last year.

Despite losing in the final against Southampton at Wembley, Farke stuck by his players and has bounced back with an excellent string of results this season.

This has been appreciated by the Elland Road faithful who have been generally impressed by the performances and goalscoring ability of the squad.

Former Whites boss Warnock has taken a shine to the German who he has named his “favourite manager” right now and said he “loves” him for the fact he’s kept at his craft despite some ups and downs.

Speaking live on talkSPORT (7:45am, 14 February), he said: “I love Daniel Farke, he’s probably my favourite manager him. He’s been up and down but he’s stuck with it.”

This comes as the 76-year-old named Dan James as his favourite Leeds player, who has come on leaps and bounds this campaign.

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke catches eye

This campaign has been proof of how useful the ex-Schalke boss is when it comes to taking charge in the Championship.

The German earned multiple promotions with Norwich and now looks set to add another one to his CV, hopefully, with the Whites.

If that is to be the case, it will be interesting to see how he sets up in the Premier League and whether immediate relegation can be avoided.

That is a thought for the future but for now Farke is standing out and continues to speak well which will only bring him more kind opinions from his managerial colleagues.

The opinion of an English football icon like Warnock will likely mean a lot and could ultimately spur the Elland Road club on as they charge towards the end of the season.
