Neil Warnock shares Leeds United relegation prediction, slams players live on talkSPORT

Neil Warnock says Leeds United have had “no defence” and “no tactical awareness” this season.

The Whites currently sit 17th in the Premier League table and boast the worst defensive record in the competition with 67 goals conceded.

They have turned to Sam Allardyce to try and secure their safety, but the boss has been handed a very tough start with games against Manchester City and Newcastle.

“The thing is, it doesn’t look as though that many points are going to make you safe, does it?” Warnock said live on talkSPORT. “You might get away with one win. Anything can happen.

“Although they don’t come much tougher than the first two, Man City and Newcastle. But you just don’t know.

“Leeds have got some decent players, but they’ve had no defence, they’ve just had no tactical awareness. At least he’ll get them solid and make it hard work. But Man City in the first game? Wow, you don’t want that as your first game do you?”

Near impossible start

Leeds supporters will be desperate for that new manager bounce under Allardyce, who is certain to stamp his authority on the team, even if he has less than a month to do so.

There is some hope that he can quickly organise a shaky defence, as well as helping the attackers gain some much-needed confidence in the final third.

But the boss really has been handed the worst possible start as the Whites travel to the Etihad to take on Manchester City on Saturday (6 May), with the Manchester outfit currently sitting top of the table.

Pep Guardiola won’t be taking any chances during the match as he looks to increase the gap between his side and Arsenal, with the Gunners facing a tough test against Newcastle on Sunday (7 May).

Leeds then have another very tough task against the Magpies who, like Manchester City, are scoring goals for fun of late.

In other Leeds United news, one source has shared what Big Sam has done at the club, which is something that has been seen for a while.
