Neil “Razor” Ruddock has admitted that he is excited to see Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa in the Premier League next season.

The Whites secured their spot in the top flight after a 16-year absence over the weekend following an advantageous series of events that saw West Brom and Brentford both drop points, followed by a stunning 3-1 win over Derby County at Pride Park on Sunday afternoon.

After that match, a video appeared on social media showing Bielsa get out of his car to greet and celebrate with a disabled Leeds fan as he left the stadium.

Ruddock shared the footage to his own personal Twitter account, alongside the caption: “Looking forward to seeing this fella in the Premier League next season”.

He also tagged Leeds United’s official account in the post, as well as ex-Elland Road defender Dominic Matteo.

This was a touch of pure class from Bielsa, and once again hammers home why he has endeared himself so greatly to Leeds fans everywhere.

It isn’t just about the results on the field – although they have obviously been superb too – but rather, the manner in which the Argentine has instilled a sense of togetherness between the fans and the club once again.

Gestures like this are relatively small, but they as truly special, and whether it’s making a fan’s day by taking five minutes out of his own to greet them, or acting with such humility when a joyous mob of supporters turned up on his doorstep on Friday night, Bielsa always seems to conduct himself in the right way.

We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful manager at the helm, and with his meticulous preparation and dedication to success, he should throw up more than a few classic moments when we finally get back to the top flight too.
