Neil Robertson wants perfect fit Leeds United star Tyler Adams to sign for Chelsea
Neil Robertson wants Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams at Chelsea after being impressed by his performances at the World Cup.
The Australian snooker star and former World Champion is a fan of the Stamford Bridge side, who are soon to be in need of midfielders with Jorginho and N’Golo Kante’s contracts running down, and thinks the Whites’ summer signing would be the “perfect fit”.
Adams has gained plenty of admirers for his performance on and off the pitch in Qatar, captaining the USMNT to the last-16 while displaying a maturity in tricky press conferences.
Responding on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday (6 December), to a post asking who Chelsea should sign based on impressing at the World Cup, ‘The Thunder From Down Under’ wrote: “Tyler Adams 100%. Leader, Humble, great energy and a perfect fit.”
The 23-year-old arrived for £20million from RB Leipzig and has impressed so far in the Premier League, before taking the captain’s armband internationally.

His performances so far in the league will have probably gained some attention already but Adams became a central figure in Qatar prior to his side’s last-16 exit.
The press conference ahead of the final group game between the US and Iran was a particular talking point after the Leeds United man handled an attempt to corner him on racial oppression in America compared to women’s rights amid the uprising in Iran.
If anything, teams are likely to have taken more notice of his off-the-pitch abilities in that situation given what it suggests for his long-term leadership suitability in any side.

He hasn’t been entirely flawless in a Whites shirt, just as he was criticised for being “naive” in defeat to the Netherlands on 3 December.
But he has age on his side to develop further still, so it wouldn’t be a major shock to see the Elland Road hierarchy tested in the summer, or even in January, over his availability.
There is little chance that Victor Orta, and certainly not Jesse Marsch, would be in favour of letting him go at this stage, but if a team like Chelsea were to offer a giant profit on what was paid for him this year it could test the resolve.
However, unless or until that happens he has a scrap in a United shirt to focus on, with the defensive third of the team proving a significant weakness of late, which he does have some responsibility for.
In other Leeds United news, the club could now decide not to sign a left-back in January.
