'My hero', 'Love it' - Many Leeds fans awestruck by 'Brilliant' Bielsa reveal for West Ham clash

Many Leeds United fans are loving Marcelo Bielsa’s latest move as he named the side he will put out against West Ham on Friday.

During Wednesday’s press conference, Bielsa was asked about his team selection ahead of Friday night’s game against West Ham at Elland Road.

Bielsa responded by naming the side he will put out against the Hammers which had many fans and members of the footballing world laughing.

Gary Lineker responded to the club’s tweet about the incident with the laughing emoji while Fleetwood Town boss Joey Barton hailed Bielsa as a ‘legend’.

Bielsa said that the team that would line up against the Hammers would be, “Meslier, Dallas, Ayling, Cooper, Alioski, Phillips, Klich, Moreno, Raphinha, Bamford and Harrison.”

This would see Rodrigo start against David Moyes’ side as he is set to replace Robin Koch in a slightly changed Leeds team.

Of course, this could all just be an attempt at playing mind games from Bielsa but with his history of being blunt in press conferences, it would be no surprise if the team he named on Wednesday lined up against the Hammers on Friday.

Bielsa continues to be a breath of fresh air in the Premier League and his comments on Wednesday will only further endear him to Leeds fans.

Many Leeds fans loved Bielsa’s decision to name his side two days before the game against West Ham with one saying that it was ‘brilliant stuff’.

Here is how some Leeds fans reacted to Bielsa’s press conference remarks…

Leeds will be looking to get back to winning ways against West Ham and the team Bielsa named on Wednesday should have more than enough to secure three points against the Hammers.
