MOT Super Fans: Leeds Saint & Sinner from 0-0 draw v Sheff Weds
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch
Leeds drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, the first game between the sides without a goal for 50 years.
It means the drought for Patrick Bamford goes on, as does the wait for Eddie Nketiah to get his first start.
Ezgjan Alioski came closest for Leeds, smacking the post from a close-range header and at the other end, Kiko Casilla ensured the home side blanked as well with some brilliant saves.
The result, while fair, sees Leeds drop to third in the table but not much ground has been lost. West Brom drew and Leeds are still only two points off the top.
Who was the best player for Leeds and who was the biggest flop? That’s the question we asked our panel of Super Fans…
Simon Gardner (@simamuofficial)
James Tilford (@JamesTilford1)
Waz Moore (@Moorey73)
Adam Ross (@rossi_on)
Linus Fransson Mörk (@LinusMork)
Lee Scott (@LeeScott321)
The upshot? Kiko Casilla was the man-of-the-match for our Super Fans, with Lee saying, “He pulled off some brilliant saves, kept us in the match and earned us a point”.
The flops were split, with Ezgjan Alioski, Mateusz Klich and Helder Costa all getting a nod, but Patrick Bamford got the most votes. The question is, will he start on Saturday?
