Morocco win U20s World Cup eight years after Leeds star scored title-winner for England
Leeds United have had their eyes on the Under-20 World Cup as Morocco beat Argentina in the final on Monday.
LOSC Lille goalkeeper Lisandru Olmeta is on the radar at Elland Road, and the Whites have contacted the 20-year-old’s representatives who played every minute for France Under-20 in Chile.
The Atlas Lions’ youth team faced Argentina’s youngsters in the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos on 20 October, winning 2-0 after Yassir Zabiri’s brace.
With an array of talent on display, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some of the superstars from the tournament at the West Yorkshire outfit in the coming years, with a history-maker already at Daniel Farke’s disposal.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored winner for England vs Venezuela in Under-20 World Cup
Leeds’ Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the hero as England Under-20 beat their Venezuelan counterparts in the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup.
The English striker scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory as the young Three Lions lifted the trophy in South Korea.
Calvert-Lewin played alongside the likes of Fikayo Tomori, Domink Solanke and Ademola Lookman to make history for their country.
The former Everton striker showed a lot of potential growing up, but consistent injuries derailed his progress at Goodison Park.
With the 28-year-old moving to Elland Road as a free agent in the summer, the Whites have added Premier League experience to their ranks.
Farke has shown faith in Calvert-Lewin, but the England international undoubtedly has to do more if the West Yorkshire outfit wants to achieve their goals this season.
Daniel Farke has major issue at Leeds United
Leeds’ loss to Burnley is certainly a big blow for their survival hopes, with the Whites sitting 15th with eight points on the table.
Farke is tasked with avoiding Premier League relegation, and the German manager will hope the likes of Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Wolves don’t recover after their early-season woes.

The former Norwich City head coach risks being sacked in LS11, with the loss at Turf Moor on 18 October potentially a detrimental result considering the two teams are in contention to drop down to the Championship.
Joel Piroe and Calvert-Lewin will be pivotal for the West Yorkshire outfit’s survival, with defensive weaknesses marring them.
