Michael Skubala under more pressure than ever at Leeds United
Michael Skubala will be managing an asset potentially worth £400million when he takes Leeds United into battle with Everton and Southampton, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The newspaper has reported in its print edition [16 February pg. 45] that it will be pressure that Skubala has never seen in his career in football so far over the next week.
The caretaker boss is now in charge of two huge relegation six-pointers in the Premier League, and only results will mean something, no more of this positive performance nonsense.

Writing in his latest column, Joe Donnohue wrote: “Skubala may only have two games under his belt as a Premier League caretaker but there is a 15-year-old track record of transmitting his ideas to players of all ages.
“Skubala has described futsal as a ‘pressure cooker’ compared to football.
“The pressure of leading an asset potentially worth £400million into two relegation six-pointers in the most competitive league of all will be unlike anything he has experienced before.”

Pressure.
If the Manchester United games were seen as free hits for Skubala, the games with Everton and Southampton are the complete opposite end of the scale.
Fail to win both, or at the very least take four points and Leeds are bang in trouble with only themselves to blame in the Premier League.
Should negative results come through, the Leeds fans will explode in the direction of the board with Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta making a complete mess of this – no surprise to any of us.
It should be made very clear too that Skubala has no blame in this, the mess has simply been dumped at his feet and he has been told to try and clean it up.
He almost did, and probably should have been rewarded by his team against Manchester United, with wasted chances yet again harming us in the story of our season.
All eyes are on Skubala now, let’s hope he thrives in this pressure.
