Michael Owen waxes lyrical of Raphinha after goal v West Ham
Michael Owen was blown away by Raphinha’s goal and overall performance for Leeds United against West Ham.
The Brazilian returned to goal-scoring ways with a brilliant finish against the Hammers on Sunday night, but Leeds ended up losing it 2-1.
In Patrick Bamford’s absence, he stepped up to the task and delivered what Marcelo Bielsa demanded from him.

Discussing the goal during Premier League Productions’ half-time show, Owen said, “He’s got a fabulous left foot. It was a superb finish.
“Whenever he has the ball on his left foot, you expect the net to bulge.”
Can’t get enough
The game may not have gone the way most would have wanted it to, but there is still plenty to be happy about his goal.
The Brazilian continues to wow the Elland Road faithful with his performances and Saturday’s goal was once again proof of just how vital he is to this side.
Marcelo Bielsa would be gutted at Patrick Bamford’s absence, but will be delighted that Raphinha can be trusted to lead the line.

Not only does he score goals, but helps start counter-attacks, creates chances and also can dribble his way out of tight spaces.
He’s also been called up to the Brazil national team and he absolutely deserves all the plaudits that have been coming his way.
Hopefully, he goes on a goal-scoring run now as the Whites desperately need some kind of inspiration from their attacking players and he could be the man to provide that.
