Michael Owen predicts result of Liverpool clash v Leeds United
Michael Owen has made his predictions for Wednesday night’s Premier League fixture between Leeds and Liverpool for BetVictor.
The Whites suffered a third loss in four games against Man United at the weekend and now head to Anfield as they look to try and steer themselves clear of the relegation zone.
But Owen, who was making his predictions for BetVictor, says that while he wouldn’t be surprised to see Marcelo Bielsa’s side get a goal he expects them to suffer `3-1 defeat to make it three in a row.

“Liverpool can play better, but the 3-1 win over Norwich was a good win nonetheless,” he said.
“The three goals coming from Mane, Salah and Diaz is a huge positive moving forward. There’s so much attacking quality and pace in this side, it must be a nightmare to play against.
“Leeds’ game against Man United was a strange one. The conditions played a massive part, but Leeds have problems at the back. I never worry about them at the other end of the pitch, but if they are to stay up, they need to improve defensively.
“I wouldn’t be shocked if Leeds scored here, but Liverpool will get the win. 3-1 Liverpool.”
Pain
After the disappointing nature of their defeat to Manchester United at the weekend, there is arguably nobody Leeds would want to play less than Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in brilliant form and battered Norwich at the weekend in a 3-1 win, despite falling behind during the game.

The pace and intensity they play at, plus the immense quality and depth they have across their squad makes them a nightmare matchup for Bielsa’s side and anything other than defeat would be surely seen as a positive result.
The Whites are currently sitting in 15th place in the Premier League, five points above the relegation zone but they’re struggling to get any sort of momentum going with their injury problems.
With teams around them starting to win games, Bielsa and Leeds need to find a way to change that quickly but getting even one point here would be a huge shock.
