Micah Richards loses it off air with Wayne Rooney after what he said around Leeds player

Wayne Rooney isn’t particularly liked by anyone at Leeds United, although he isn’t doing himself many favours with his punditry.

Leeds picked up another impressive 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, with Anton Stach’s wonder free-kick taking the headlines.

Daniel Farke was happy with his defence at Villa Park, despite the late goal being conceded, but it was another valuable point in the relegation fight away from Elland Road.

Rooney was impressed with Pascal Struijk upon his return to the side, too, but he won’t be getting any thanks after his woeful pronunciation.

Wayne Rooney has Leeds United nightmare on Match of the Day

Speaking on Match of the Day, Rooney had a nightmare with his pronunciation, and footage has been released of Richards laughing.

“This is the one time he gets behind the Leeds United midfield,” Rooney started about Rogers.

“Struijk [mispronounced Stouk], scanning, now the ball comes out, Morgan Rogers, tries to get on the ball, tries to be effective.

“Strouk, right on him on his touch, gives him nowhere to go.”

In the video clip shared by Match of the Day on X, it shows Richards and Rooney going off-camera with their mics cut, as they both share a laugh again.

How did Pascal Struijk perform vs Aston Villa?

Having returned from injury and being thrown into the deep end, brilliantly.

Struijk was up against the likes of Ollie Watkins and Tammy Abraham, while also helping to keep Rogers quiet, who has been one of the best playmakers in the Premier League.

With stats via Sofascore, Struijk won all of his tackles, made five clearances and also an interception against Champions League-chasing Villa.

Surprisingly, it was Jaka Bijol who was left out of the initial team at Villa Park to bring Struijk back in, with James Justin being preferred centrally.

With Manchester City next up at Elland Road, it would be a shock not to see him back alongside Struijk and Joe Rodon for that challenge.

That is up to Farke, though, who cannot be questioned after the phenomenal turnaround in LS11 over the past couple of months.
