Micah Richards destroys Leeds United after lack of signings in January transfer window
Micah Richards has taken aim at Leeds United after their decision not to strengthen their squad with new signings in the January transfer window this season.
The popular Sky Sports and BBC pundit used Newcastle as a perfect example as they fixed their uses, but Leeds sat back and failed to recruit despite huge injury problems.
The Whites now sit in the relegation zone with three games to play and are set for a survival shootout with Burnley who are only above on goal difference currently.

Speaking live on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club [09 May], Richards could not believe that the Whites decided against strengthening in January.
“Why didn’t they sign in January? That is the biggest question,” he said.
“Leeds have had injuries all season, when they were doing all right, the form was up and down, you’ve got the January market, look at what Newcastle have done.
“You still have to improve on your team and that’s where it became problematic for Leeds.”

Problem.
This is the one negative thing that Marcelo Bielsa left behind.
We all know that El Loco was stubborn, but now this squad is suffering due to him not wanting to add new players to the fold at a time where we desperately needed them.
Andrea Radrizzani didn’t help either, with his message to fans insisting that Adam Forshaw was the new midfielder we all needed backfiring – with him now sat out injured with a broken kneecap.
Bids did go in for Brenden Aaronson at RB Salzburg, but priorities should have changed when it was clear that the American wasn’t going to move on in that window.
Instead, we sat back and did nothing and look where that has gotten us.
Luke Ayling, Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford, Forshaw and Liam Cooper could all be missing together for the game against Chelsea on Wednesday [11 May] and they are five of our most experienced options.
In a relegation battle, you need players and new signings you can rely on in January, but instead, we may have to rely on young talents from the under-23s, that is simply wrong.
