Matt O’Riley still one to watch at Leeds United as transfer news emerges on Sky Sports
Leeds United are not yet done in the transfer window with Celtic playmaker Matt O’Riley one to watch on deadline day, according to Mark McAdam.
The Sky Sports journalist shared the news of a rejected £10million bid from the Whites, who are still looking to reinforce the heart of their side at Elland Road.
This is on top of Werder Bremen midfielder Ilia Gruev signing and Glen Kamara from Rangers, who was also confirmed late on Thursday 31 August.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News, as shared on Twitter [31 August, 19:40], McAdam shared the latest news regarding any further potential moves for the young Dane.
“Celtic have rejected a £10million bid,” he said. “Significant from a Championship side to be splashing the cash in that way, from Leeds for Matt O’Riley.
“They are not finished there, this is one to keep an eye on because they have rejected, Celtic, a £10million bid for Matt O’Riley.”

One to watch.
Leeds are not playing around towards the end of this transfer window, and that was always going to be the case.
After weathering an early storm at Elland Road, Daniel Farke and the 49ers Enterprises are putting their foot on the gas with late deals on the cards throughout the squad.
To say that only Tyler Adams has been sold for serious money this summer, the outlay will be significant, especially if another bid is submitted for O’Riley.
The Danish youth international is much more attacking than Kamara and Gruev, so even though both of those are sorted, a third player coming in is certainly on the cards.
Paraag Marathe promised an aggressive transfer window, and we are finally seeing that, with a late marquee move for O’Riley potentially putting the cherry on top.
Add Joel Piroe into the mix and the past week has been sensational, it could be about to get even better.
In other Leeds United news, two key recruitment figures left Elland Road with an expected signing still not done.
