Mateusz Klich seen in conversation with Victor Orta as Leeds United future remains unclear

Conversations have been had between Mateusz Klich and Victor Orta with the Pole’s future at Leeds United likely on the agenda.

After a tiresome session in Spain during the club’s training camp, The pair were seen sitting in one of the dugouts at the Oliva Sports Centre, deep in discussions about something, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 32-year-old has remained committed to the club after not getting a move away from Elland Road in the summer but he has not played nearly as much as he wanted in the Premier League this season.

His 188 minutes of league action was a big reason why he was left out of Poland’s World Cup squad but he has remained upbeat on the Spanish tour so far.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claim that there is a lot of interest in Klich but he was more concerned about getting on the golf course once his chat with Orta had concluded on Tuesday (6 December).

For a 32-year-old to play such few minutes of league football without injuries to use as an excuse is a major worry for Klich and surely the sign he needs to try and pursue an exit from Elland Road.

Jesse Marsch clearly has no intention of dropping either Tyler Adams or Marc Roca anytime soon with the two summer recruits quickly gelling in the centre of the Whites’ midfield.

If he has any aspirations of returning to the international fold ahead of Euro 2024, then he can’t afford to stay in Yorkshire at Leeds United beyond the January transfer window.

The squad is evolving under the American manager and that means some of Marcelo Bielsa’s favourites have to make way for the next crop of talented individuals.

There is a good chance that Klich has played his last game for Leeds United if his chat with Orta does end up with his name being removed from the dressing room.
