Mateusz Bogusz in advanced talks to leave Leeds on loan, permanent option possible – report

Leeds United talent Mateusz Bogusz has already entered advanced talks to join Legia Warsaw, according to Meczyki.

The Polish outlet have reported on their website that the under-23s midfielder is set to leave Elland Road on loan for next season.

It is suggested that there could be a permanent option included in the deal with Bogusz having little chance of featuring in the Premier League.

Bogusz decided to make the move to Spain this season, and joined UD Logrones, as he looked for more senior experience.

The 19-year-old has made it no secret that he wants senior football, and doesn’t want to feature in the under-23s at Thorp Arch, despite their success.

Legia Warsaw have been interested since the start of this season, with their owner having a close relationship with the player.

That could have a big say on his next move, and it appears as though Legia have made their move early to not miss out next season.

Leeds United

No place.

Unfortunately, after leaving the under-23s they have only gone from strength to strength, and it is hard to see him being involved even he did stay.

Bogusz has proved he has talent, but with the likes of Sam Greenwood and Stuart McKinstry shining, there is no clear pathway to the first team for him.

Things aren’t going well in Spain either, with the majority of his 15 appearances this year coming from the bench as he fails to start games.

Marcelo Bielsa will always have one of his staff members watching those away from the club, and the fact that talks are already starting is the first hint that Bogusz will be playing his football elsewhere next season.
