Martin Tyler says what 'could be just around the corner' for Leeds

Martin Tyler has suggested that Leeds United should be able to win promotion back to the Premier League with Marcelo Bielsa in charge.

Leeds have nine matches left to play of the currently suspended Championship season but sit top of the league and seven points clear of third place.

Them and West Brom have occupied the automatic promotion spots almost all season and many would expect Bielsa’s men, and the Baggies, to both seal their spots in the Premier League once football is back.

Sky Sports legend Tyler has been writing about Elland Road being a “special” stadium for him to commentate in and he believes he may have plenty more chances to attend the West Yorkshire venue once they win promotion under Bielsa.

“Twenty years ago European nights were also very special here. Under Marcelo Bielsa you feel the return of the good times could be just around the corner,” Tyler wrote on the Sky Sports website.

It is hard to disagree with Tyler on this.

We all want to win promotion to the Premier League but the good times have already returned to Leeds if you think about it.

We finally have a manager we have faith in, an owner who we can trust and a squad of players that we love.

In other Leeds United news, players have a growing reluctance to accept the latest EFL plan.
