Mark Lawrenson predicts result Leeds United Premier League clash v Nottingham Forest
Mark Lawrenson has made his predictions for tonight’s Premier League clash between Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, and is expecting a tight game.
The Whites were battered 4-1 by Arsenal at the weekend, while Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Wolves, as Javi Gracia’s side fell back into the relegation zone following results elsewhere.
But this is a game which has big implications in the relegation battle with just one point separating the two sides before kick-off, and Lawrenson told Paddy Power (4 April) that he expects Leeds to get the victory.

“Leeds had a free hit at Arsenal because the world and his wife knew that they were going to lose that,” he said.
“Nottingham Forest, they drew 1-1 and they haven’t won for a while. The owner was in the changing room after the game and that’s never a good sign.
“If Forest get turned over at Leeds, which I think they will do, we could be up to 14 sackings for the season in the Premier League. Leeds 2-1 Nottingham Forest.”
Must win
The Arsenal game was one that many expected to lose because of their form and the fact it was at the Emirates, but this is a fixture we simply must win.
With so many games at home against our relegation rivals to come, we can’t avoid to drop points in them if we want to avoid relegation for a second season running.

Forest’s away form has been miserable and Steve Cooper has been threatened with the sack by many in the media, so it’s something that we have to take advantage of to save ourselves.
Gracia must be more offensive with his team selection for the game and really go for the win, with the fans likely to be right behind the team and pushing them to get the better of a relegation rival.
It won’t be easy, but we should be the favourites to claim the win and we have to use all of our advantages to do so, otherwise the final 9 games of the season will only get more difficult.
