Mark Lawrenson predicts Leeds United v Arsenal Premier League clash

Mark Lawrenson has predicted Arsenal to get the job done when they play host to Leeds United on Saturday, 1 April, at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta’s side are gunning for the title and will be looking to keep up with Manchester City who play at an earlier time.

Leeds too, have found some form in the Premier League recently and find themselves in 14th place, still in relegation trouble.

Speaking to Paddy Power, Lawrenson predicted Leeds to be safe from relegation but sees the Gunners winning this 2-0.

He said, “Leeds won last time out but Arsenal have just been irrepressible for me. They’ve been very, very good. I’ve read that they might have a few players missing but I think they’ll have too much for Leeds, I really do.

“Leeds have definitely improved under Javi Gracia and I don’t worry about them in terms of getting relegated.”

Upset likely?

If teams like Bournemouth can give Arsenal a run for their money then surely even Leeds can fancy their chances.

Arsenal may be in form but they’re not at that extremely convincing level where they’re beating teams by three and four goals.

There are games in which they’ve been struggling but have managed to come out on the other side with three crucial points.

If Leeds start this one strongly and edge an early goal then the entire complexion of the game will change.

They have gotten better defensively under Gracia and if they’re expected to see out a result, it’s very plausible that they’ll be able to do that.

Hopefully, they can spoil Arsenal’s party and end their wretched record at the Emirates Stadium.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites may now be able to land a target they made an approach for in January with his club now waiting for £20million offer.
