Mark Lawrenson predicts 2-1 Leeds United loss against Liverpool
Leeds United are easy to get at and that would play right into Liverpool’s hands on Sunday evening, claims BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson.
The Whites are still searching for their first win three games into the new campaign.
Liverpool pose the biggest threat they’ve faced thus far, and Lawrenson expects a close encounter, but sees the Reds edging it 2-1.

He told BBC, “Leeds have stuttered a little bit so far this season, but I think that’s all it is. I don’t see them struggling, put it that way.
“There are still lots of positives about the way Marcelo Bielsa’s side play, but they are still easy to get at which is something I thought they would change.
“That hasn’t happened, which is why I am going with Liverpool. The Reds will get plenty of opportunities in front of goal.”
Leeds can nick something
Liverpool have Roberto Firmino ruled out of this game and James Milner is also a doubt. [Sunday Mirror]
Should the ban on Brazilian players hold up, Alisson and Fabinho will also miss out, weakening the Reds side considerably.

Granted, Leeds will also have Raphinha ruled out, but his absence will not weaken the Whites as much as the aforementioned players would to Liverpool.
Bielsa is no stranger to sides pressing his teams higher up the pitch and he nearly got a result in the first gameweek last season.
Leeds lost 4-3 on the day, but set the course for the rest of the season and played a carefree brand of football.
While we don’t think this one will be a seven-goal thriller, we’re expecting it to be an even contest that could edge either way.
